All Free DVD Ripper can help you extract video from DVD. It supports a wide range of output formats, which will allow you to watch your movies on various types of devices.
The program has a nice intuitive interface. As its layout is very similar to other tools of the same type, it is unlikely you find any difficulty using it. It supports two different sources: discs and folders. Unfortunately, it does not support ISO image files. Once a DVD source has been selected, you can choose an audio track, a subtitle and an angle, if available. The program will embed the subtitles in the output movie, which will allow you to watch it on a device not supporting external subtitles. A list of the DVD’s contents will also appear. From this list, you can select the titles and chapters you wish to convert. In order to help you make a decision, you are allowed to preview the movie and take snapshots of your favorite scenes. However, the program does not let you trim or crop the movie.
The software supports multiple conversion formats, and these have been arranged as output profiles, which have been grouped into video, audio and devices. While the first two groups comprise general video and audio configurations, the latter guarantees that the format chosen will play seamlessly on the intended device.
In general, All Free DVD Ripper does all the basic actions a good ripper is supposed to do. Its main advantage is the result of being a fairly good application available at no cost.
